Neck and Face Lift
With ageing, many of the supporting structures of the face tend
to weaken and stretch. This results in the skin sagging under the
effect of gravity, creating unwanted lines and descent of the tissues
of the eyelids, cheeks, jaw-line, and neck.
A face and neck lift can elevate and reposition these tissues,
giving a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.
This procedure involves incisions that are located in front of
and behind the ears, and extending into the hairline on either side.
Occasionally, a small incision under the chin is also used.
Through these incisions the skin is lifted and tightened, along
with some of the supporting structures and muscles on the face.
The skin is re-draped and the excess is removed.
The surgery is tailored to your individual needs and can be combined
with procedures to the brow and eyelids. These procedures are performed
under general anaesthesia and often involve a hospital stay of several
days. Bruising and swelling have mostly settled within three weeks,
allowing you to present your rejuvenated appearance to the world.
